Email Rev. WillardI count it an honor to Pastor the members of the Haven Pentecostal Church, "the greatest people there are." As you explore this website, it is my hopes that it will bless you and remind you to pray for the leadership God has placed here as well as all of your brothers and sisters in the church family. I thank God for each and every one of you.

Email Rev. PhilIn our ever changing world we still cling to the “old rugged cross”. It has been in my spirit, and weighing on my mind for a couple months; my brothers and sisters, very soon we are going to see Jesus Christ face to face. You, my friend, and I! We are really going to see Him. He that bore the cross will look into each our eyes, and according to scripture will place us on the right or left side, according to the lives we have lived.
Here at the Haven Pentecostal Church we have always been referred to as a “holiness church”. We may have in the past, and I admit I have, offended people with my standards. I believe after many years of living in a great Apostolic church I have had the wrong approach. “ I speak for myself" Here It Is! OUR LIVES ARE TO HIM AND NOT TO EACH OTHER! Allow me to explain.
In Matthew 16:24, Jesus spoke to Peter and his disciples; “take up your cross and follow me.”
Our Lord could have chosen any emblem he wanted, but he spoke of one he himself had not yet endured. The Cross! He could have taken off one of his sandals, and said this is to be the symbol of your devotion for me. Walk the footsteps I have walked and it will lead you home. And each of us, would then have to buy sandals and travel to the Holy Land and try as we may to imitate His every geographical step.
He could have used a hammer or a chisel that he worked with every day and said you must become builders. And those of us who are less inclined to build would be without hope.
But he chose the cross. Some have tried to make the cross a convenient cross. Friend, IT”S A CROSS! Reading the commitment of those that paved the way for us in the first three centuries, we can be quite sure that Christians should be set apart in some way.
Now folks I will agree, that being set apart may not mean for ladies the longest of long hair with nothing in it. It may not be the long sleeve white shirt only, for men. But I think we all will agree on what “it is NOT” …it is NOT Madonna dancing across the stage in her underclothes!
With that in mind, LET US ALL dig into the Word of God and pray earnestly for inspiration to please our Lord. You don’t need to seek your neighbors advice, (they will give it to you anyway), but remember, it is not their eyes you will look into very soon when we are raised incorruptible, in the heavens, to reign with Him forever.
Isn’t it time we consider a logical cross?
In Matt 11:28-30, Jesus said;
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. KJV
If you feel like it is too hard for you, you should consider if maybe you are trying to please others around you more than you are trying to please your Lord.
Here at Haven, we are a “holiness church”, but it’s because we are a people trying to look good, “in His eyes”!

Email Bro. TimWelcome to the website of Haven Pentecostal Church - "The Apostolic's of Henderson"
It is my hope and prayer that you will enjoy this website as much as I have building it and keeping it up-to-date. I feel that this is a ministry just as any other ministry as we are getting the Word out and spreading the gospel through scripture, songs, preaching, etc.
We have often been referred to as "The Lively Stones of Henderson". If you will just come out and experience the move of God in our services, I think you will tend to agree. Haven is a great church!
In His Service,
Bro. Tim Bell
